General Sessions Program
Our General Sessions program is open to any youth at-risk and struggling with mental health.
Each of our programs provides equine-assisted growth and learning services that provide an opportunity for the youth to engage with our horses through connection. We use equine assisted growth and learning as a tool for emotional growth and learning.
Our program seeks to provide support to the vulnerable populations in our community by fostering healthy habits that will promote a brighter future.
Equine assisted growth and learning is non-traditional therapeutic model that involves collaboration between a client, a mental health case worker, and an equine specialist to address a wide range of issues, including:
Improved communication and social skills
Development of healthy relationships
Problem solving skills
Increased confidence and self-esteem
Development of practical life skills
Building trust
Increasing personal insights
Learning how to set boundaries
Horses provide a safe, non-judgmental space for emotional exploration, allowing clients to gain insights relevant to both their work environments and personal lives. The youth who attend Wild Souls Ranch come to heal from experienced adversities and benefit from equine-assisted growth with our herd of fourteen loving and supportive horses.
“What this program has done for my children is priceless—the smiles that come from their confidence and newfound friends at WSR is incredible. They have gained tools that are not only at the ranch, but they have improved at school, home, and are learning to build trusting relationships with people they encounter. The healing in their heart is a priceless blessing that has changed our life forever…””
