Wild Souls ABA

What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a supportive, evidence-based approach to helping individuals build skills and reduce behaviors of concern in line with your family’s priorities and values.

ABA looks at how people interact with their environment and uses positive, supportive teaching strategies to help individuals develop new skills and reduce barriers to learning. Skills are taught in practical, real-life contexts and are tailored to each person’s strengths, needs and goals.

ABA is about understanding why behaviors happen and providing the right supports so individuals can communicate effectively, regulate emotions, and navigate their world with greater confidence and success.

Our Approach to ABA at Wild Souls
ABA services at Wild Souls integrates the structured, evidence-based principles of ABA with learning opportunities that take place in natural, meaningful environments. Services may be provided in the home and community. This approach allows skills to be taught and practiced in real-life contexts where they are most likely to be meaningful and sustainable.

Each participant begins with a comprehensive, individualized assessment conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This process includes collaboration with the participant, caregivers, and relevant team members to understand strengths, support, needs, preferences, and goals. Assessment results are used to develop a personalized treatment plan that focuses on building functional skills, increasing independence, and supporting emotional regulation and communication in ways that align with the individual’s values and daily life.

ABA services at Wild Souls may include:

· In-home support to build skills within daily routines and family life.

· Community based support to promote independence and participation in real-world settings.

· Parent and caregiver training to empower families with tools, strategies, and ongoing support.

· Individualized skill-building sessions tailored to each participant’s goals and learning style.

We emphasize positive reinforcement, natural motivation, and experiential learning rather than compliance-based or punitive strategies. By incorporating sensory regulation, choice, and meaningful activities, we create opportunities for participants to practice skills in ways that feel purposeful and engaging.

All ABA services at Wild Souls are delivered by trauma-informed staff who prioritize safety, trust, collaboration, and respect. Our team is trained to recognize the impact of past experiences on behavior and learning, and to provide support that honors autonomy, dignity, and individual communication styles. We believe that lasting growth happens through strong relationships, compassionate support, and environments where individuals feel understood and empowered.

We welcome individuals with a range of communication styles, learning profiles, and support needs, and we work closely with families and teams to determine whether Wild Souls is a good fit for each participant.
